Generality: this device is a volumetric detector which detects a moving intruder in the protected area, captivating the difference in temperature of the moving target respect to the background. The mirror technology used, widely known and diffused, makes Pir HT suitable for protecting a whole room. Pir HT has an input to connect another hard-wired sensor: this allows, as well as signalling movement in the room, to control a d/w fixture nearby, obtaining higher safety for the same price.The programming of the device on the control panel is easy and immediate.
Use features: volumetric protection of inside rooms up to approx. 4 x 10m + input for other passive sensor.
Installation features: the lack of wiring obligations favours the correct positioning, which is fundamental for the good functioning of these devices. Pir HT is fixed to the wall, preferably in a suitable corner of the room, at 1.5-2m high, using the support supplied. Pay attention to the adjustments, which must be adequate for the environment to be protected.
Accessories for intrusion detectors:   5961 universal joint
This accessory can be used when it is required to point the volumetric detectors. Attention: save for installation mechanisms, the anti-removal protection is not available by using the joint. Given the features of the devices shown and the wireless installation flexibility, the use of a joint is not recommended for the safety of the system.

Power supply: 9V alkaline battery type GP1604A or equivalent, for an autonomy of approx. two years with normal use. Autonomy decreases sensibly in frequently used areas.
Anti-tampering: signals the opening of the device and its detachment from the wall.
Radio transmission: simultaneous DualBand frequency in accordance with EU law. Range suitable for use.
Control and test: when the device is open, LED confirmation detection at every human movement is obtained. With operative system the test happens by causing an alarm and verifying the reception of the control panel.

Functioning:
The device must be adjusted in order to signal a person entering the protected building, after approx. three steps. To reduce current consumption, it blocks after an alarm and only starts to detect again, following lack of movement in the environment for a few minutes. Particular positionings and adjustments allow to prevent detection of small animals, reducing protection: for safety reasons, it is however recommended to avoid the presence of animals in protected buildings.
Any sensors connected to the available input, are managed autonomously: the input has quick impulses count and its own alarm code, therefore it is recognised by the control panel in an independent manner by the volumetric protection.
As well as the intrusion alarm, the devices signal the tampering once event is verified; the operating status (supervision) and any low battery every 40 minutes: the control panel highlights these signals following arming and/or disarming.

Device local signals:  alarm/test LED, which also signals low battery by quickly flashing for a few seconds.

Aesthetic solutions: white and brown colours; to camouflage the device by integrating it even more with the environment, appropriate plastic coverings in different shades wood and aluminium as illustrated are available.
